Blue Wave Arctic Armor 12x20 Ft Oval Above Ground Pool Winter Cover, 15-Year
Blue Wave
15-year warranty is the longest of any winter cover in this roundup
- 15-year warranty
- Arctic Armor heavy-gauge fabric
- 12x20 ft oval fit
- Tighter weave than standard tarps
Pros
- 15-year warranty is the longest of any winter cover in this roundup
- Heavier Arctic Armor gauge resists wind flap and UV breakdown better than standard tarps
- Tighter fit reduces the sagging and pooling that stresses seams over a full winter
- Oval sizing is a less common fit that many budget lines don't stock
Cons
- Priced noticeably above standard-gauge winter covers of the same size
- Still not weight-rated, no substitute for an ASTM-rated safety cover
- Heavier fabric makes it more cumbersome to fold and store than lighter tarps
- 12x20 oval sizing is fixed and won't fit rectangular or freeform above-ground pools
